Our friend Cliff took a few pictures from the service and is allowing me to post these here.

Commissioning service
Last night was our commissioning service in the Heath Evangelical Church. There were a lot of people, many from our church, but some had travelled a fair distance to be there: Carmarthen, Cricieth in North Wales, Clevedon… A family even cam from Southend on Sea, about 160 miles away. It was a great privilege to be there and we are overwhelmed by people’s love and kindness.
Our Pastor preached from Romans 1:16: For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. He reminded us that we were called to gospel ministry and gave us some reason why we should be excited about it: It is a good news about salvation, it is the power of God, and it is for everyone.
Thank you all for your prayers and support.

Visiting Cardiff Castle
My parents have been staying with us since Tuesday, and are going back to France on Sunday morning. As they have come over the week and we have had several commitments, we have not been able to go very far to visit places this time. Instead, they have helped us packing up, and they have looked after the children one evening while Esther and I went to speak in a Church in Lampeter.
Nevertheless, we have been able to go to visit Cardiff Castle this morning. I had been twice before, but am still surprised by it. I learned today that William Burgess, the architect commissioned by the Marquess of Bute to restore Cardiff Castle loved opium. It is not surprising when you see the designs of some of the rooms. It is a real excentric Victorian place. My mum thought Bute was mad to want something like that. But was he really? He was one of the wealthiest men in the world at the time, and had more money than he would ever need. After all, very reach people today do not behave differently do they?
Jehovah’s witnesses to visit French prisons
I saw something about this in the Magazine Marianne, but it is not available online. So here is an article about this in the newspaper La Croix: Les Témoins de Jéhovah veulent nommer des aumôniers de prison – France – la-Croix.com.
Today’s shift was rather sad
We’ve decided that I would stop working in Costco on 15th July. It is exciting but also rather sad. I have worked in that shop for two years now, actually, I went to a recruitment day for WDS on 14th July 2008. Since then, I’ve got to know quite a lot of people, both staff and members. Most of the staff already know I am leaving, but not the customers. So I’ve started to tell some of the regulars today. I’ve grown to like these people, and it will be a bit sad.
I am also thinking of the staff. I’ve had few opportunities to share the gospel, but I’ve tried to do my best to be a Christian in a very dark place, and pray that this has had an impact, and that they will come accross other Christians. I am planning to invite some to the commissioning service.
