Colloque Biblique Francophone, Days three and four

On Thursday morning, Don Carson concluded his series on the expression “Son of God” as a Christological title with some practical applications. He was followed by Regis Berdoulat, from lausanne Reformed Baptiste Church, who gave a historical conference on a 19th French missionary to South Africa. Historical conferences are a difficult exercise and Régis seems to have mastered the art. He was fascinating.

In the afternoon, I went to Lyon with Andrew from Nantes, and Ian, from Rennes. We had a walk around town and got soaked. I studied in Lyon and it was nice to be back. The town center has changed, but not too much.

Later, there was a panel session with the speakers. There were good questions, and a lot of the discussion turned around evangelism and the church. Alan Davey closed the day with a fascinating message on Ephesians 2.

Friday morning was the last, with two talks. the first speaker concluded what he had started saying on Tuesday with some practical applications, and Charles Nicolas also gave some practical considerations on the subject of pastoral care of the sick and dying.

I left just after lunch and arrived back in Chambéry at 4pm.
