Colloque Biblique Francophone, day two

Another good day. Don Carson spoke twice on the subject of the Title Son of God. He gave a general overview of the various meanings of the expression in the morning, and concentrated on Jesus in the afternoon, looking in details at Hebrews 1 and John 5:16-30.

Charles Nicolas spoke about Pastoral Care for the sick and dying. It was good and challenging. In the evening, Alan Davey continued on the subject of union with Christ.

In the afternoon, I went for a walk with Andrew Lytle, from Nantes. It was good to catch up with the news and enjoy the sunshine.

Colloque Biblique Francophone, Day one

I went to Lyon from Chambéry on the train, and arrived at the Colloque early. It takes place in the Maison St Joseph, in St Foy Lès Lyon in a beautiful setting. The first two speakers were challenging and thought provoking. One of them was my friend and colleague Alan Davey who preached on union with Christ.

It is good to be here and meet friends and make new friends.
