It was a good morning in Rostrenen. I went there with Naomi and Lydie and we were joined by Christiane, one of our members who live there. Soon after setting up, a man walked passed us, said hello and turned back to talk with us. he is a practicing Roman Catholic and was glad to see the Bible advertised in Rostrenen. I left a leaflet about the church with him, and he was happy to hear there’s a monthly Bible study in the town.
We also talked with an English couple who live in the area, and a few minutes before we left a lady stooped by. She is from a Roman Catholic background but attends the Reformed church in Brest (a mainly liberal denomination) where she lives . But she says she has some affinities with the Evangelicals. We had a nice chat and I left her with a leaflet from the church.
While we were there, a man walked passed insulting us. He complained about all the violence in the world and asked how we could possibly still advertise the Bible. It’s the first time it happens, but we know it will happen. The man probably didn’t want to talk anyway, he didn’t stop. We let him have his rant and smiled.
