I’ve got a cold
I’ve got a cold, thanks to Maxime and Esther. It’s the kind that hits hard, but goes off very quickly. I’ll relax until the youth group tonight and I should be better tomorrow to lead  the service and preach.
Discipleship and the Idols of Family and Culture – The Gospel Coalition Blog
When was the last time I heard a sermon on the true cost of discipleship? I don’t recall hearing any when I was growing up. I can’t recall any over the last 10 years, appart from one by Mark Driscoll a few months ago. We always tend to always water down Christ’s claims to total devotion to him. but that’s wrong. This article has challenged me. What about you?

Sinned in a Literal Adam, Raised in a Literal Christ – The Gospel Coalition Blog
I was reading recently a magazine on origins in the magazine of a French Evangelical Denomination. It depressed me to see that all the articles without exception were supporting a theistic evolution viewpoint. The most worrying to me was the great confusion there seemed to be on who were Adam and Eve.
Although I don’t think I would follow him on Genesis 1, this article by Tim Keller is helpful in putting things back into perspective:

The Most Urgent Need in the Church – Kevin DeYoung
This applies to France, maybe especially to France where the Word is rarely at the centre of worship and at the centre of the christians’ lives. Thank you for your prayers.
