FOCUS Bretagne

FOCUS Bretagne is a training scheme for lay people who want to have more responsibilities in their local churches. It means: FOrmer des Chrétiens Utiles pour le Service (Training Christians Useful For Service). There are about 6 sessions a year, and they meet in a place called Crampoisic in central Brittany. The organisers have invited church leaders this afternoon to come along and discover what they are doing. I’ll be going along with Emmanuel Hartiel and Claude Broux. A quote to read slowly

If we are to appreciate that which is central in the gospel, if the jubilee trumpet is to find its echo again in our hearts, our thinking must be revolutionized by the realism of the wrath of God, of the reality and gravity of our guilt, and of the divine condemnation.
