After the Revolution by Albert Mohler | Reformed Theology Articles at Ligonier.org

The following article appeared in the June issue of Tabletalk magazine: After the Revolution by Albert Mohler.

Extract:

Like the Reformers who seized the opportunity afforded by the Gutenberg Revolution, we must see the world of new media as an arena for Christian truth-telling. Our engagement with new media is driven by impulses that are evangelistic, missiological, and grounded in apologetics.

And here is his conclusion:

Like every information revolution, the rise of new media requires Christian discernment. At the same time, there is no way we can ignore this challenge and deny the revolution. We can hardly expect to explain the hope that is in us when we aren’t even part of the conversation.

Commissioning service

Last night was our commissioning service in the Heath Evangelical Church. There were a lot of people, many from our church, but some had travelled a fair distance to be there: Carmarthen, Cricieth in North Wales, Clevedon… A family even cam from Southend on Sea, about 160 miles away. It was a great privilege to be there and we are overwhelmed by people’s love and kindness.

Our Pastor preached from Romans 1:16: For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. He reminded us that we were called to gospel ministry and gave us some reason why we should be excited about it: It is a good news about salvation, it is the power of God, and it is for everyone.

Thank you all for your prayers and support.
